Now more than ever, NIST, DIACAP and FISMA requirements are pressing government agencies to meet these stringent guidelines.  However, most government agencies lack the internal expertise required to understand the C&A process and adequately test and create documentation for each C&A phase.

Additionally, regulations are constantly changing and there is a lack of guidance on how to comply and a lack of understanding on how changes affect an agency’s ability to meet FISMA scorecard requirements. With the bar for regulatory compliance constantly moving and 46% of Federal employees eligible for retirement in 2008¹, agencies are facing the challenge of ensuring non-retiring employees have the latest skills and knowledge to meet annual FISMA requirements.
