Expanded Curriculum, Featuring CNSS and New NIST 800-37 Process, Demonstrates Continued Leadership in Information Assurance Training for DoD, Civilian and Intel Agencies
Washington, DC, February 11, 2009 – SecureInfo® Corporation, a market-proven provider of Information Assurance solutions, today announced the company’s 2009 Information Assurance training curriculum and schedule, featuring new classes in the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) and the new NIST 800-37 process. These new courses join an already comprehensive information assurance training and awareness curriculum, including DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Web Application Security, as well as many others information assurance topics.
“SecureInfo information assurance and awareness training enables government agencies to better meet the ongoing challenges of securing IT assets and complying with federally mandated standards and regulations,” said Yong-Gon Chon, senior vice president of services at SecureInfo, Inc. “Our new classes demonstrate our continued commitment to ensuring our curriculum incorporates the latest, most up-to-date regulations and guidance.”
SecureInfo’s expanded curriculum includes introductory and in-depth classes for the new NIST 800-37 process and CNSS. For example, the NIST 800-37 Essentials course introduces students to the new Security Authorization Process and covers the fundamental concepts associated with security authorization. Security Controls In-Depth provides students with highly detailed information concerning security control selection and specification, the activities necessary to translate security controls identified in the security plan into an effective implementation, and the process of assessing security controls in organizational information systems.
The CNSS Transition Course includes guidance, a resource kit, and the methodology students can employ to successfully transition to the new process. The CNSS Validator course provides a full review of all of the CNSSI 1253 controls, methods and associated evidence required to show IA control compliance.
