SecureInfo Supports NIST's Information Security Automation Program (ISAP) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
SecureInfo RMS First Certification and Accreditation Solution Listed for NIST SCAP Compliance
Washington, DC, June 6, 2007 – SecureInfo® Corporation, a market-proven provider of Information Assurance solutions, today announced that SecureInfo RMS (Risk Management System), SecureInfo’s award-winning Certification and Accreditation (C&A) software, supports the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Information Security Automation Program (ISAP) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
ISAP is a U.S. government multi-agency initiative to enable automation and standardization of technical security operations. The goal of ISAP is to enable Federal civilian and DoD agencies to more effectively protect the nation’s information assets by providing standards-based automation of security checking and remediation, as well as automation of technical compliance activities (e.g., FISMA).
SCAP is a method for using specific standards to enable automated vulnerability management, measurement, and FISMA compliance evaluation. SecureInfo RMS is the first C&A software listed for SCAP Compliance under the NIST initiatives. SecureInfo RMS has incorporated all of the applicable standards as defined by the NIST SCAP initiative for auditing an organization’s information security risk posture. These NIST SCAP standards include, Common Vulnerabilities and Exposure (CVE), Common Configuration Enumeration (CCE), and Common Platform Enumeration (CPE).
