Task Leader

Location: San Antonio, TX

Job Summary: Manages and lead teams in the execution of short duration certification testing tasks under NIST Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and risk management processes at government sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of teams performing independent security certification/testing activities under multiple contracts with the Federal government client. This includes:
    • Leads the planning, management, and execution of independent certification testing activities by teams of 3 to 10 members. Execution of multiple concurrent tasks may be required. Task duration ranges from two to six weeks.
    • Provides logistical management and oversight for team members. This includes coordination with government site personnel.
    • Ensures compliance with contractual delivery terms including planning and management of task staffing, schedules, deliverable quality, revenue and cost controls.
    • Prepares and delivers standardized briefings to client personnel and supports client risk management activities.

    • Internal coordination and communication with program and project management leaders.
  • This position is responsible for ensuring process compliance, deliverable quality, and timeliness.
  • The task lead is responsible for assisting government IT personnel with risk management activities and remediation.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • A CISSP, and preferably additional, Information Assurance certifications by a nationally recognized certification authority is required.

Knowledge and Skills: Must demonstrate experience and successful execution in the following areas:

  • Experience delivering Information Assurance or IT services to Federal government clients.
  • Hands-on experience with NIST Special Publication 800-53, 800-53A, and 800-37.
  • Experience managing and directing teams or groups of teams consisting of 12 or more team members.
  • Must possess excellent communications and briefing skills.
  • Must understand federal agency responsibilities under FISMA and OMB directives.
