Security Consultant - Technical

Job Summary:
The Security Consultant will support the certification and accreditation for administering U.S. Army TACOM LCMC DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) program to include ensuring the DITSCAP/DIACAP program is implemented. The position requires access to classified information, the applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
This motivated team player shall maintain information assurance management (IAM) level III certification which is required to support the certification and accreditation of information systems including:
- Properly evaluate whether Information Systems has met IA controls and requirements
- Report detailed findings and providing briefings to customers and management
- Demonstrate customer service skills
- Maintain a repository for all systems' C&A documentation and modification to support Designated Approving Authority (DAA)
- Review IA packets using RMS and SecureInfo software
- Maintain enterprise-level records of DITSCAP/DIACAP/ACA certifications
- Ensure information systems (weapons, combat and/or business systems) is properly tested/checked and meets certification requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of national, DOD and DA regulatory policies relating to Information Assurance (IA), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)/DIACAP, Army's Agent of the Certification Authority (ACA) and IAVA in order to verify compliance
- Tactical Weapon System experience with DIACAP and the ability to relate back to the acquisition community
- Experienced with general network architectural knowledge, LANS/WANS
- Demonstrate understanding of information systems hardware, operating systems and peripherals
- Ability to read and understand system vulnerability scan reports such as that from Harris-Stat and others
- Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Ability to maintain or obtain Top Secret government clearance
- CISSP certification
- CAP certification a plus
