Intrusion Detection Specialist

Location: Ft Belvior, VA / Kuwait

Job Summary:
All candidates will be responsible for the monitoring of the client’s prototype network-based IDS/IPS devices, correlating global actions and associated events into actionable/reportable analysis that could lead to an intrusion on the Client’s network . Analyze network traffic for malicious or abnormal occurrences using ArcSight, Snort, Netdetectors, IntruVert, RealSecure, TCPDump, and/or other IDS IAW developed operational processes. Duties include conducting analysis of malicious data-sets, zero-day exploits and publicly known vulnerabilities in static and dynamic situations. Administer and maintain unique databases through SQL, Shell Scripts, and other commercial tools. MCSE, CCNA, CISSP, LINUX, UNIX certifications are desired but not required. Experience with Army and/or DoD preferred. Clearance requirements vary on a client by client basis. For open junior positions clearance is not required and for local senior positions TS/SCI is required. For our Senior Analyst position in Kuwait a secret with an ability to be cleared up to TS/SCI is required.
