CNO Analyst
Location: Ft Belvoir, VA
Description: A Computer Network Operations Analyst to work at the Army's 1st Information Operations Command.
Responsibilities:
- Performs black and white targeted penetration testing against internal and external networks using a variety of COTS and open source security tools
- Recommend remediation actions
- Assists in the Certification and Accreditation Process
- Teaches and QCs the Army PT methodology at remote sites
- Develops and updates PT policy and training documentation
- Develops tests and training labs to challenge junior PT technicians
- Recommends and tests new tools for the PT program (documenting the results)
- Performs technical vulnerability assessments and reports results
- Provides expertise in the implementation of DOD related security policies
- Recommends policy and procedures for Army CND
- Research new internet hacking techniques
Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption, and other industry-standard security techniques and practices
- Knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data privacy and protection
- Expert knowledge of CANVAS or Core IMPACT
- Either CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certifications and obtain the other certification within six months of hire
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in CND
- A minimum of 2 years as a systems administrator
- Must be able to travel outside of the United States on scheduled missions.
